About Aegina

Aegina Island is located in the center of the Argo-Saronic Gulf. It is one hour away from Piraeus by ferry and constitutes one of the favourite weekend destinations of the Athenians. The area is famous for its colourful and tasty pistachios that can be bought every where. It is very attractive and full of verdant vegetation, pine and olive trees. It also has a superb 5th century BC temple which is worth-seeing.
